Recipe: The Cara Cara Spritzer with Bara-Cara Tequila

We’ve long admired the work of Kevin Willis, the Morongo Valley-based ceramicist behind some of our favorite handmade pieces. You’ll spot his work throughout our Spring shoot: dusty blue plates, sculptural vases, even the salt and pepper shakers on our outdoor table.

But ceramics aren’t the only thing Kevin’s become known for. He’s also the founder of Bara-Cara Tequila, a new tequila crafted in Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico, by Melly Barajas Cárdenas. You might already be familiar with La Gritona, his first tequila brand known for its iconic green recycled-glass bottle. Bara-Cara is his latest project—and while it’s not available in California just yet, Kevin was generous enough to gift us a bottle for our shoot.

Naturally, we just had to turn it into a cocktail.
